An Australian radio station, CADA, has come under scrutiny after revealing that one of its popular hosts, DJ Thy, was an AI-generated entity. The station used ElevenLabs’ technology to create the voice for the daily show "Workdays With Thy," which airs on Sydney-based CADA from 11 am to 3 pm on weekdays.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that CADA had not initially disclosed Thy’s artificial nature, leading to public criticism. The show promotes itself as playing "the hottest tracks from around the world" during workday commutes.
